About the Founder - Rachael Ross Steidl
Prior to becoming a mother, Rachael's work experience included many years in marketing and management as well as working with children in both school, group home and counseling settings. She also has an M.A. in Psychology from Pepperdine University. SBParent.com was founded after having spent many hours on the phone with new parents of twins trying to connect them with local resources. She realized during this time that there was not an easy central location to find all the information new parents need. Expansion with ParentClick.com gave her an opportunity to support other women in being business owners and making a positive impact on their communities. What started out as a simple idea to centralize resources in a town that she loves has grown into a business that combines both her work experience, education and hands on experience as a mom. She is a Santa Barbara native and the mother of 3 girls (10 year old twins and a 6 year old). She is actively involved in the community serving on several local boards and in her daughter's schools.
