SB ParentSource.com offers lists of activities, resources, retail stores, and support groups in the Santa Barbara area for parents with children though age 6.

The business was founded by Rachael Ross Steidl , the mother of twins and past president of the Santa Barbara Mothers of Multiples, after spending hours on the telephone with new parents of twins trying to connect them with some of the family resources available to them.

"I realized during this time that there is not an easy central location to find all the information new parents need especially if they are not getting out of the house," Steidl said. "Although businesses are listed in the phone book, they aren't easy to find. Parents either need to know the exact name of the business or the correct way to look up the subject. There is no way to find out everything available just for infants, toddlers, etc. The other problem is that often the best time to do this research is when your child is asleep in the evening."

ParentSource offers parents one site to find links, information and schedules. The site also includes an annual calendar of family events in the area.
